Sunday Dec 7th at 7 pm at Grace Mennonite Church. The event is called Messiah Queered, and is a traditional, sing-a-long performance of Handel's famous oratorio – that specifically welcomes the 2SLGBTQ community and allies. The four singer soloists may switch voice types as they wish (eg. the soprano may sing a tenor line), but otherwise all music and lyrics remain the same as any other performance of Handel's Messiah. Musicians, singer soloists, and chorus members may dress how they wish in terms of gender expression. The chorus will include members of the Rainbow Harmony Project Choir. The orchestra will be led by professional musicians and may also include interested community members. Tickets are $10 general admission and $30 for preferred seating.
