Bring your leaves, grass, and other garden clippings to Steinbach’s Community Compost Depots, open every Saturday, 9 am-3 pm, from May 3 until October 11, 2025.
The depots are located at:
* Woodlawn School yard (411 Henry St)
* Stonybrook Middle School (77 Lumber Ave)
* Smith Neufeld Jodoin Law Office (85 Provincial Trunk Hwy 12)
What to compost:
* Vegetables & fruit (fresh, cooked, canned)
* Coffee grounds / Filters
* Tea leaves / bags
* Egg shells
* Bread
* Plain rice / Plain pasta
* Garden waste
* Weeds without seeds
* Grass clippings
* Leaves
Do not compost:
* Meat / Fish / Bones
* Eggs / Dairy Products
* Oily foods / Sauces
* Pet waste, Diseased plants
* Metals, Synthetic materials
* Plastic / Petroleum products
