The 3rd Annual Vita & Area Winter Festival will be held January 19th & 20th at Vita, MB. The event features sled dog racing - both 10 dog and 6 dog. There will also be skijoring for 1 and 2 dog teams. Saturday the day begins with a pancake breakfast at the fire hall. Check out the craft sale, kids activities, horse drawn sleigh rides, hockey to watch, cribbage tournament, bonfire, sled dog rides, local entertainment, and fireworks at 6 pm. Sunday there will be a pancake breakfast at the Friendship Centre. Skijoring and the Sled Dog races will run again. Free skating will be available.
