Intro-to-STAR Figure Skating Program offers the best-in-class figure skating curriculum in Canada, targeting participants looking for a future in the sport. Taught by Skate Canada NCCP coaches, the program introduces skaters to the basic figure skating elements to create the foundation for singles, pairs, ice dance and synchronized skating. Intro-to-STAR is a bridging program between CanSkate and STARSkate. Running concurrently with CanSkate, this is a fun-filled, high-energy group lesson designed to keep skaters encouraged and moving! Skaters are taught figure skating jumps, spins and movement while continuing to develop the skaters ability to master the foundational CanSkate learn-to-skate elements. Ribbons and badges will be awarded as earned! Skaters in this program may enter fun events/competitions throughout the year as well. Skaters may be any age and level. Adaptive skaters who have the required skating ability are welcome! Skaters must provide their own lace up figure skates. An annual Skate Canada Insurance fee of $60 will be applied at check out.
