Each spring, hundreds of volunteers walk through the community picking up garbage along the streets, in ditches, and parks while getting some exercise after our long winter.
Anyone interested in participating can call 431-815-9224, sign up at a local church prior to the event or simply show up at the arena that day.
Volunteers will be meeting at the T.G. Smith Arena in Steinbach at 9:00am on Saturday, May 4, and everyone is welcome to participate. From there, volunteers will be dispatched and supplied with maps, routes, and garbage bags.
People are encouraged to wear rubber boots, gloves and to dress for the weather. A thank-you lunch will be provided for all volunteers back at the arena at noon.
