Cognitive Behaviour Therapy with Mindfulness (CBTm) is a short self-help program to help guide cancer patients and their caregivers who are experiencing depression and/or anxiety.
The five session series will be offered on the following dates and in English only:
Dates: Aug 4, 11, 18, 25, & Sept 1, 2021.
Time: 12 pm to 1:30 pm
The CBTm in Cancer Care Education Classes are designed to help cancer patients and their family members:
Learn the basic ideas of CBT for depressive and anxiety symptoms
Learn mindfulness practices
Learn about good quality self-help CBT resources
Get a head start on CBT as part of recovery
This class might be right for you if:
Feelings of sadness and worry are affecting your quality of life
You want to learn the skills to deal with those feelings
The online classes will both teach you and provide opportunity for hands-on learning. Home practice will be assigned weekly.
